Specification of Metallized Films and Substrates

The use of metallized films is wide spread and continues to grow as does the number and type of film substrates. Oftentimes there is a question as to what the most appropriate metallized film is for use in an application and what the key properties of the film are. This paper will review various metallized films and
compare their key properties and the property profiles. This information will be used to determine the suitability of the films in various applications. In addition the key properties of various film substrates will be reviewed in relationship to their impact on metallized appearance and properties.
