Color Management For Sustainable and Efficient Metal Decorating The metal decorating industry faces a significant challenge in achieving color consistency particularly with regard to the substrate and the process. While it is common practice to subjectively and visually assess color acceptability, the appearance of colors on reflective surfaces is heavily affected by angular light scattering. Controlling color according to the specular component included (SPIN) or excluded (SPEX) separately is not sufficient.
