Kampf Schneid- und Wickeltechnik GmbH, headquartered in Wiehl, Germany, is the world market leader with more than 100 years of experience in slitting and winding technology for a wide range of web shaped materials such as paper, plastic films, metal foils and various types of coated, laminated and multilayer combinations of these materials.
In the area of Technical Applications, Kampf develops and manufactures special machines for processing films and foils that are used in many components of electrical engineering. These include metallized films for capacitors as well as coated cathode / anode films and battery separator film for state-of-the-art Lithium Ion Batteries.
Kampf has developed the MicroSlitter especially for processing the demanding capacitor films. Over 100 of these machines have been successfully installed worldwide in recent years. The MicroSlitter is used to convert the coated films into the required widths and run lengths.
The presentation will highlight solutions developed for the MicroSlitter to handle the challenges of ultra-thin capacitor films. Many factors of the films to be processed can affect the quality of the finished rolls. In order to eliminate these factors as far as possible, the MicroSlitter offers various adjustment possibilities. Solutions with different slitting technologies and winding concepts fulfill the demanding quality characteristics. Straight cut as well as the especially developed wave cut systems are characterized by highest precision. The interaction with a complete web control from unwind to rewind guarantees perfect finished rolls. Optional monitoring systems and roll handling equipment complete the MicroSlitter range.
