A Case Study in Eliminating Coating Voids in an Oral Thin Film Pharmaceutical Product

During routine coating of an established pharmaceutical product, voids in the coating were observed after the coating was applied to the substrate. This paper will review the troubleshooting steps undertaken to determine its root cause and corrective actions taken to eliminate it.
