Market Monitor: Specialty papers, boards demand climbing 2.6% a year to 2024

According to a just-released AWAreness Report, the worldwide market for specialty papers and boards (SPB) totaled 30 million tonnes in 2021, representing 6% to 7% of overall global paper and paperboard production. The 2022 edition of the study from Netherlands-based AWA Alexander Watson Associates forecasts the specialty-papers fi eld will grow 2.6% a year, reaching about 32.5 million tonnes in 2024.
