Converting Data Analytics Informed by Elegant Web Handling Models

Decreasing costs of sensors and data storage enable large datasets in converting processes to be assembled and analyzed for predictive maintenance, quality assurance, and improved process availability. Elegant web handling models inform what process and material measurements are needed and where to measure them in the process by efficiently highlighting the key variables and parameters of interest. Models for some common web handling failure modes like wrinkling and their insights for converting data analytics are presented.
