Adhesion: The Basics

To understand adhesion it is first a good idea to check that we have the basics right. In this first episode we look at what terms like “peel” and “work of adhesion” mean, we see which adhesion forces are relevant (for example, surface energy is irrelevant) and we learn that “adhesion is a property of the system”.
